On March 6th at 11:39 am, Brandon police conducted a pedestrian check in 700 block of 10th Street. A 48-year-old male was arrested as he had an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court and assault with a weapon. He was held for court on March 7th, 2024.

On March 6th at 11:35 pm, police were called to a business in the 800 block of Middleton Avenue for a report of a male who was acting erratically. An intoxicated 25-year-old male was arrested. He will be released in the morning.

On March 6th at 9:50 pm, Brandon police were called to a semi on fire at the intersection of Meadowlark and Middleton Avenue. The operator of the vehicle was asleep in the bunk when he awoke to the smell of smoke. He exited the truck before the cab was destroyed. The fire does not appear suspicious, and no injuries were reported.
