The City of Brandon is hosting the final stage of community engagement for the Brandon City Plan. The City said in a media release, “This comprehensive plan will chart the course for our city’s development over the next thirty years.”
“After two years of active community participation, the draft plan is ready for public review until mid-April. The Brandon City Plan seamlessly integrates with ongoing initiatives and will not hinder the implementation of approved projects, including those outlined in the City of Brandon – Climate Action Plan and the City of Brandon – Council Strategic Plan
The ‘Come and Go’ Open House will be held Thursday, March 20th at the Keystone Centre (MNP Hall A) from 4 to 8 p.m. with presentations at 5 and 7 p.m. This event provides an opportunity to discuss the vision of the City Plan and view the document. We will also spotlight some ongoing initiatives, including the proposed bike lane on 26th Street.”
The release also said, “Following the public review of the draft plan (March – April 2024), necessary revisions will be incorporated. The formal adoption process of the Brandon City Plan will begin in May 2024 and wrap up by July 2024. We appreciate your active involvement in planning for the long-term future of the City of Brandon.”
