Recovered Stolen Vehicle
On February 19th, 2026, at approximately 8:45 a.m., police received a report of a vehicle stuck in the snow in the back lane of the 1100 block of Rosser Avenue.
Upon attendance, officers located a white Honda CRV, which was confirmed to be the same vehicle reported stolen on February 18th, 2026. The vehicle had sustained damage, was not drivable, and was observed to be leaking fuel. The registered owner was notified, and the vehicle was towed for processing.
Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours two individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. (Both for Failure to Attend Court). Both individuals were arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with future court dates.
Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours, six individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace. In each incident, the individual was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. Reported behaviours included banging on hotel doors, attempting to engage staff in a physical altercation, walking in traffic while attempting to wave down vehicles, and situations where family members requested police assistance due to intoxication and related disruptive behaviour.
In each circumstance, the individual was arrested to prevent further disturbance and ensure their safety, as well as the safety of others. All individuals were lodged in BPS detention cells to sober up safely and were to be released once calm and sober.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
On February 19th, 2026, at approximately 10:51 p.m., police were called to a business in the 1200 block of 18th Street to assist with the removal of an intoxicated patron who was causing a disturbance. Upon police attendance, the 44-year-old male was located outside the business and attempted to enter the rear seat of the police cruiser himself. The male was taken to BPS detention cells to be released once sober and able to care for himself.
