Assault
On April 30th at 10:54 am, Brandon Correctional Staff called to report an inmate had assaulted one of the staff. A 41-year-old male was arrested. Police say he allegedly grabbed a female staff member’s arm and tried to pull her towards the cell when she was delivering food through the cell slot. No serious injuries were reported. The accused will appear in court on May 1st, 2024.
Break and Enters
-On May 1st at 11:30 am, Brandon police attended to a residence in the 100 block of 14th Street and arrested an 18-year-old male for Break and Enter. Police say he allegedly broke into a residence in the 2200 block of Rosser Avenue on April 30. He was held for court on May 1st ,2024.
-On April 30th at 08:19 am, Security from a business in the 800 block of Princess Avenue reported finding a female sleeping in the parking lot. Police say the female had reportedly broken into the business using a hammer. A 52-year-old female was arrested. She was later released for court on July 8th, 2024.
Theft under $5000
On May 1st, a 32-year-old female was arrested for Theft Under $5000. Police say on April 20th at 2:38 pm, a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported a female stole $115 worth of clothing. A suspect was identified via video surveillance. The accused was released for court on June 24th, 2024.
Intoxicated Persons
-On May 1st at 02:18 am, Brandon police received a call of a person passed out on a front lawn in the 00 block of Rosser Avenue East. Officers say they located an intoxicated 27-year-old male. He was arrested as he was unable to care for himself. He will be released in the morning.
-On May 1st at 03:11 am, police received a call of a female screaming on Westaway Bay. Police say they located an intoxicated female who was reportedly pounding on a residence door. She was arrested and will be released in the morning.
Arrest Warrant
On May 1st at 04:11 am, police conducted a pedestrian check in the 500 block of 34th Street. A 37-year-old male was arrested. He reportedly had an outstanding warrant for breaching his probation. He was released for court on May 27th, 2024.
