Theft Under $5000
On May 1st at 10:25 am, a business in the 1500 block of 19th Street North reported a male stole 3 pairs of work boots valued at $690. A 50-year-old male was arrested at his residence and released for court on July 18th, 2024.
Fail to comply with a release order
-On May 1st, a 17-year-old male was arrested for failing to comply with his release order. On April 26th at 7:20 pm, Brandon police were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 1500 block of Lorne Avenue. The male was reportedly causing issues at the residence and fled. He was later located and held for court on May 2nd, 2024.
-On May 1st at 7:26 pm, an employee from a business in the 200 block of Middleton Avenue called to report a male had arrived who was to have no contact with a female who works there. A 25-year-old male was arrested for breaching his release order. He was held for court on May 2nd, 2024.
Arrest Warrants
-On May 1st at 4:00 pm, a 13-year-old male turned himself into Brandon Police Service as he was aware she had an outstanding warrant for breaching his undertaking. The youth was arrested and released for court on June 4th, 2024.
-On May 2nd at 00:20 am, A 23-year-old female turned herself into Brandon Police Service as she was aware she had three outstanding warrants for failing to attend. She was held for court on May 2nd, 2024.
-On May 2nd at 03:16 am, police conducted a person’s check in the 100 block of 12th Street. A 20-year-old male was arrested. Police say he had an outstanding warrant for theft under $5000. He was also found to be breaching his release order but being out past his curfew. The accused will be held for court on May 2nd, 2024.
Intoxicated Person
On May 1st at 4:23 pm, Brandon police received a call of a suspicious male hanging around in the 400 block of Richmond Avenue. Police say an intoxicated 33-year-old male was arrested as he was unable to care for himself. He will be released in the morning.
Break and Enter
On May 1st at 5:32 pm, a resident in the 400 block of 17th Street reported suspects had entered their home sometime during the day. Numerous electronic items and a sports picture frame were taken. The homeowner is still compiling a list of stolen items. This matter is still under investigation. Breach of Undertaking
On May 1st at 10:41 pm, police walked through a business in the 100 block of 5th Street. Officers observed a female who they say was out past her curfew. A 28-year-old female was arrested for failing to comply with her undertaking. She was released for court on July 11th, 2024.
