On Air

Jordan Michelsen

My name is Jordan, but I also go by Jordi and Dani. If you ask me where I'm from, I'll probably stare at you blankly and wheeze out a vague, "...Canada?" because as an army brat, I've got more than a few answers for you. But, if you ask where I grew up, I will give a much more confident reply of, "Manitoba", since Westman is where I spent the majority of my youth. Having said that, I spent a shockingly little amount of time actually out and about at community events here in Westman, so I am SO EXCITED to be on the events team! I took a field trip to the station when I was 10 and have been fascinated with radio and convinced that's where my future lies ever since, so joining the team here has been one of the coolest experiences of my life.

When not at work, you will find me sprawled on my couch, either napping or Netflix-ing. Or reading, I do that too. Or rather, I say I'm a reader, but basically just collect books under the guise of adding them to my "to -read" list and instead stacking them up in truly formidable towers. Like a dragon hoards gold to never use, so does a Jordan hoard books she reads half-way through before getting bored and moving on.I love stories, be it film and television or books and musicals. I collect notebooks, keychains, and most recently, baseball caps.

What is your most unusual talent?

Used to be able to recite Disney movies and the year they were released, but haven't done that in a while so I've definitely forgotten some by now. Oh, and I can put my leg behind my head.

Choose a movie title that explains your life.

Clueless. Confessions of a Shopaholic. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. The list goes on.

Would you rather only be able to use a fork, or only be able to use a spoon?

I'd take a spoon, and gnaw the ends of it into prongs and make myself a rudimentary sort of spork, like cavemen (probably) did.

What would you do if you found a penguin in the freezer?

Love and cherish him. Give him a clever name and a bow tie, and solve mysteries together. Obviously.
