11 new cases and no additional deaths due to COVID-19 reported in Manitoba

No new cases in Prairie Mountain Health

The province is reporting no new deaths due to COVID-19, keeping the toll at 1,172. 

Health officials also announced 11 new cases of the virus, however, one was removed due to case corrections, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 57,456.

Of the new cases; zero are in Prairie Mountain health, one is in the Northern health region, two are in the Interlake-Eastern health region, three in the Winnipeg health region, and five in Southern health. 

In Prairie Mountain Health, 42 cases remain active, eight of which are in Brandon, while province-wide there are 528 active. There's also 110 covid patients currently in hospital, and 26 receiving intensive care. 

Meantime the current five-day test positivity rate remains at 3 per cent provincially. When it comes to variant of concent cases, the total in Manitoba increased to 16,483. Of those, 1,361 have been discovered in Prairie Mountain Health.
