The body of a 12-year-old boy, who went into the rapids at Sturgeon Falls in Whiteshell Provincial Park, has been recovered.
Whitemouth RCMP say he was found at around 1:00 am this morning (May 29) by the police underwater recovery team, and Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team.
They say the boy had been climbing on rocks when he fell into the water on Saturday, and almost immediately went under
Police say a bystander jumped in to help – but couldn’t bring the boy back to shore.
Whitemouth RCMP continue to investigate.
