The province reported no new deaths due to COVID-19 on Tuesday (July 27), keeping the toll at 1,172.
Health officials also announced 23 new cases, however, three cases have been removed due to data corrections. This brings the net-new number of cases today to 20 and the total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba to 57,476.
Of the new cases; two were in the Prairie Mountain health, and the Northern health regions, four in the Interlake-Eastern health region, six in the Southern health region, and nine in the Winnipeg health region.
In Prairie Mountain Health, 42 cases remain active, eight of which are in Brandon, while province-wide the total sits at 498. There are also 107 covid patients in hospital battling the virus, and 27 in intensive care units.
Meanwhile, the current five-day test positivity rate decreased slightly to 2.8 per cent provincially, down from 3 on Monday (July 26). When it comes to variant of concern cases, the total in Manitoba increased to 16,584. Of those, 1,366 have been discovered in Prairie Mountain Health.
