6 new COVID-19 cases in Manitoba including one in Brandon

Manitoba health officials are reporting six new cases of COVID-19, two from the Prairie Mountain Health region, increasing the areas total to 43.

Health officials say the province's total has risen to 415, 70 of those are active cases, six COVID patients are in the hospital including five in intensive care. The number of deaths due to the virus remains at eight, 337 people have recovered.

Meanwhile, health officials are advising that potential exposure to the virus may have occurred from a case identified Friday (July 31) at Blazers Mini Mart in Minnedosa, on July 25, and from a case identified Thursday (July 30) at the Asian Spices of Brandon, on July 22 and 23.
