Manitoba First Nations Police Officers have arrested a 25-year-old man.

Michael McIvor, from Sandy Bay First Nation, has been arrested on drug and weapons charges.

On Monday (Dec 30), at roughly 2:00am, Officers received several calls that an individual was walking around Sandy Bay allegedly carrying a firearm. 

Officers say when they located the suspect they also found a firearm, a knife, ammunition, a small amount of meth, and drug paraphernalia. 

He is to appear in Portage la Prairie Provincial Court.
