BPS arrest woman after wooden barrier tossed through window

Brandon police say at 1045 hrs on September 14th, they received a request from the RCMP to check a residence on Cornell Bay for someone who was allegedly evading an outstanding arrest warrant. Police located a 16-year-old boy and released him on to appear before the courts in December.


At 1100 hrs, police responded to a residence in the 200 block of 4th Street in response to highly intoxicated person that was trying to enter a residence. Members attended and located a 33-year-old woman who they say was grossly intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She was lodged in BPS cells until sober.


At 1330 hrs, police observed a 36-year-old woman walking in the 500 block of 10th Street whom was known to have outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was arrested and released from custody with a court date in December.


At 1732 hrs on September 14th, Brandon police received a report of a vehicle being stolen from a business in the 500 Block of Rosser Avenue. Police say when the owner returned from the business, their vehicle had been stolen. Within minutes, members located the vehicle allegedly being operated by a 21-year-old woman. She was arrested without incident and released with a court date in December.


At 1845 hrs, police attended to a parking lot in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue in response to a report of a man bothering customers and arguing with his girlfriend. Officers located a 37-year-old man, who they say was highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance. He was lodged in BPS cells until sober.


At 1952 hrs, Brandon police received a report of a domestic assault. Police say the female victim alleged her husband had been arguing with her, and at one point during the argument, held a knife to her throat. Police arrested a male suspect, who they say was highly intoxicated, and placed him under arrest. A 44-year-old man was lodged in BPS cells until sober where he would be released on conditions.


And at 2235 hrs on September 14th, Brandon police received a report that a woman had thrown part of a wooden barrier through a window in the 1000 of Louise Avenue. Officers patrolled the area looking for the suspect, and located a 30-year-old woman in the 300 block of 10th Street. They allege she was high on drugs and was unable to provide members with her name and she had no I-D. The suspect was arrested and lodged in BPS cells where should be released when sober with a court date in November.
