Brandon police arrest a 59-year-old man on an assault charge

Officers also locate a 20-year-old man suffering from stab wounds

Brandon police arrested a 59-year-old man Wednesday (Mar 3) night on an assault charge.

Police allege the suspect attacked a person at home shortly before 7:00 pm, and say the victim had apparently been thrown to the floor. 

The good news, the victim required no medical attention.

The suspect is to appear in court in May.

And a 20-year-old man was taken to hospital Wednesday (Mar 3) morning suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Just before 1:00 am Brandon police say they responded to a report of him banging on doors in the 000' block of Willowdale Crescent who had a number of stab wounds. 

Officers also say they located an 18-year-old man who was also dealing with injuries, he was treated and released.

Brandon police continue to investigate.
