Brandon police investigating more break and enters

Officers also arrest suspect involved in epic duel, and two others in separate assaults

Shortly after 7:00 pm on Tuesday (Apr 6), Brandon police responded to reports of two people challenging each other while carrying what appeared to be a crow bar and bear mace in the 800' block of Princess Avenue. 

The incident was witnessed by members of Paladin Security who alerted police. 

The suspects fled before police arrived, but officers do say a 27-year-old woman, who was carrying a can of bear spray, was located and arrested.

There were more break and enters in Brandon Tuesday (Apr 6).

Someone rummaged through a garage in the 000' block of Lorne Avenue, as suspect(s) are believed to have entered through an unlocked door in the afternoon. Officers say nothing appears to have been stolen.

And two bikes were taken from a shed in the 300' block Douglas Street. Officers say one is described as being an older model, silver in color with rust on the frame; the second is described as a purple Mavelo mountain bike. Police also say the crook tried getting into the house, but was scared off by the homeowner's dog.

And Brandon police arrested two people in separate assaults on Tuesday (Apr 6).

A 23-year-old woman faces charges and is to appear in court in May, and a 23-year-old man has a court date in June.

Police say in one of the incidents the victim suffered minor injuries.
