Linda Hackenschmidt sent her husband into the store to check her Lotto Max ticket, she was shocked when he came back to tell her she was $154,965.50 richer.

"This is unbelievable!" is the only thing Hackenschmidt could think of to say when she saw what she had won.

Hackenschmidt won her $154,965.50 prize by matching six of the seven drawn numbers, as well as the bonus number on the April 6th draw – 2, 14, 24, 25, 35, 44, 45 – Bonus 11.

The Brandon resident is looking forward to travelling when it is safe to do so, and says this windfall will help to build a better future for her and her family.

Linda Hackenschmidt purchased her winning Lotto Max ticket at the Petro Canada on the Trans-Canada and Highway 16 in Portage la Prairie.

And two ticket-holders in Manitoba were winners on this past Saturday’s (July 3) Lotto 6/49 draw.

One ticket purchased in Winnipeg had five of the six winning numbers plus the bonus to claim $48,253 while another bought somewhere in Manitoba won $10,000 as one of 20 guaranteed prize draw winners. Tickets sold in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec also matched the five winning numbers plus the bonus.

Meanwhile, no winning ticket was sold for the $11.6 million jackpot. However, the guaranteed $1 million prize went to a lottery player in Ontario.

The jackpot did not go - so, Wednesday's (July 7) will be an estimated $14 million.
