Prairie Firehouse Facebook Post:

"I would like to begin by saying it has been amazing to serve this community over the last 5 years. The Prairie Firehouse Restaurant has been a part of so many memorable stories, late evenings, weddings, birthday parties and more. I am humbled, honored and proud to have been allowed into so many lives and to share in so many incredible events.

I am saddened to announce that we will be closing our doors permanently effective immediately. Our lease is expiring and unfortunately during these unprecedented times, we were unable to reach an agreement for new terms on our historic building.

I believe that dining and hospitality should be about atmosphere, happiness and enjoying the company of each other in a space that feels safe and comfortable. Prairie Firehouse was designed to provide the opportunity to bring people closer with the ambiance of live music, entertainment, family gatherings, and with made from scratch, Canadian inspired, Manitoba grown food. We have, without a doubt, accomplished this and I will make it make it my priority to continue to support all of the wonderful local entrepreneurs in Brandon and we hope you do as well.

I have loved serving the West-man community for the last 5 years and am so very grateful to everyone I have been able to share our passion with. I would like to thank our amazing staff for all of their dedication and tremendous work over the years, I could not have done it without them. We have an amazing team of such talented, smart and wonderful people that I have come to consider a family. The long nights and camaraderie will be missed dearly.

Thank-you to everyone, not only in our tight knit community, but also Canada wide for the support we have received. This adventure has been nothing short of incredible." - Owner, Anna Dumas
