With the uncertainty surrounding the start of the WHL season, a trio of players with Brandon connections have signed tryout agreements in the American Hockey League.

Cole Reinhardt, a 2020 6th Round Pick of the Ottawa Senators has joined their farm team in Belville, ON as he looks to turn pro after his four-year career with the Wheat Kings.

Meanwhile, forward Luka Burzan and Brandonite Trent Miner have signed with the Colorado Eagles, the AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche.

Burzan and Miner were both selected by the Avs in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.

Wheat Kings defenseman Braden Schneider is also on an AHL deal and arrived in Hartford, CT shortly after the World Juniors to begin training camp with the New York Rangers affiliate.

The AHL is scheduled to start their abbreviated season on February 5th.
