The provincial government is looking for a contractor to begin work on a new Daly Overpass.

The Brandon Sun reports Manitoba Infrastructure's online tender notes that the foundation must be in place by next August, and the northbound lanes must be open by the end of June 2023.

The project calls for a two-span bridge over Pacific Avenue and the tracks, a second two-span pedestrian bridge, and a single-span bridge over McDonald and Stickney Avenues.

The City of Brandon also wants to create new affordable rental units.

The Brandon Sun reports two municipal properties the city would like to see developed are located at 13th Street North and Stickney, and on McDonald Avenue at 26th Street.

The city is currently taking proposals in the hopes work could begin next spring.

There are more details about these projects at the links below.
