The pandemic forced the Brandon Salvation Army to make changes to its annual Kettle Campaign this past Christmas season.
Due to worries about the spread of COVID-19 volunteers could not collect donations at public places, so they conducted a drive-through campaign at the church on Princess Avenue.
Brandonites stepped up and helped the Salvation Army raised a total of $42,173.35.
Lieutenant Stephen Frank, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army Brandon, says they're grateful for the "great support from our community, considering we are in a pandemic."
All money raised goes to support the organization's programs in Westman.
