It's time to fuel good. When you fill up your tank at any Heritage Co-op Gas Bar on Fuel Good Day, Co-op will donate 10 cents per litre to local food banks. Heritage Co-op will make an additional $1 donation for every Co-operative Coffee or Big Cool sold at Gas Bars.
"Fuel Good Day provides the opportunity for Heritage Co-op to work together with our Team Members and Guests for the benefit of our community," said Dennis Laing, General Manager of Heritage Co-op. "This is an exciting event that shows how everyday actions can have big impacts."
When you head to your local Heritage Co-op Gas Bar on September 21, you may see familiar faces from around the community.
"We have invited some of our community leaders to the pumps to wash windshields with us throughout the day," said Laing. "This is a fun way to get the community involved in this worthwhile cause and generate excitement around the fundraiser."
Last year, Heritage Co-op raised $12,300 for local food banks. Since 2017, Co-op locations across Western Canada have donated to local registered charities and non-profit organizations as part of Fuel Good Day.
Heritage Co-op Gas Bars taking part on September 21st include stores in Brandon on Richmond Avenue, 18th Street North and 6th Street, in Minnedosa on 2nd Avenue SE, in Wawanesa on Provincial Road 340 North, in Erickson at 48 Main Street - and in Strathclair at 46 Main Street.
