Swan River RCMP are investigating a house fire Sunday (Jan 10) morning, which resulted in the discovery of unidentified human remains.
At 12:40 am, officers responded to a report of a structure fire at a residence in the town of hamlet of Renwer, located approximately 30 kilometres east of Swam River.
RCMP say once the fire was brought under control and extinguished, firefighters entered the structure and located unidentified human remains. No other injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
Swan River RCMP along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner continue to investigate.
