Retail Sales Drop In Manitoba

Posted: September 24, 2013 10:14
Manitobans didn't spend as much in July according to a recent Stats Canada report. Manitoba retail sales dropped 4.1%, or $60 million.                                            The PST increase is believed to be a big reason for the drop, along with inflation, and poor weather. The decrease led the country, while Saskatchewan was second at 2%. Manitoba retail sales are usually around $1.5 billion monthly.
