The New York Rangers have signed Wheat Kings Captain Braden Schneider to a three-year entry level contract.
The Prince Albert, SK native was chosen 19th overall by the Rangers in October's NHL entry draft, and made his professional hockey debut with the AHL's Hartford Wolfpack in February.
The four-year WHL veteran lead all Wheat Kings blueliners with 42 points in 60 games last season.
Schneider also helped Canada to a silver medal at the 2020 World Junior Hockey Championship in Edmonton back in January.
The Wheat Kings will have their captain on the ice tomorrow when they open up Hub City training camp at the Brandt Centre in Regina.
