Schneider, Greig Named to Virtual WJ Camp

A pair of Brandon Wheat Kings will take part in a virtual development camp, with hopes of cracking the Canadian 2021World Junior squad. 

Defenseman Braden Schneider and forward Ridly Greig are among 41 players who were invited to take part in the camp, set for July 27-31st. 

The team also announced that Vancouver Giants Head Coach Michael Dyck and Saskatoon Blades bench boss Mitch Love will round out the coaching staff 

Five goaltenders, 10 defencemen and 26 forwards will attend the five-day virtual camp, participating in a variety of sessions with a focus on player development through online education.

 Winnipeg’s Seth Jarvis of the Portland Winterhawks has also been included, the lone Manitoba-born player to make the list.

Barring any Covid-19 related cancellations, the 2021 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships will be played in Edmonton and Red Deer beginning on Boxing Day.
