A pair of Brandon Wheat Kings have been named to the 2020 WHL Eastern Conference First All-Star Team.
Jiri Patera and Braden Schneider received the honours on Tuesday morning along with Brandonite Calen Addison and Dylan Cozens of the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Aliaksi Protas of the Prince Albert Raiders and James Hamblin of the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Patera, who was named the Wheat Kings team MVP along with taking home a haul of other awards wraps up his WHL career with a 24-12-2-2 record in his final season while posting a .921 save percentage and a 2.55 GAA.
Meanwhile, Prince Albert native Braden Schneider stole the show on the back end, being named the club's Top Defenseman and the Hardest Working Player. Schneider is the 8th ranked North American skater heading into the 2020 NHL Draft and now has another accolade to add to the resume.
Brandonite Max Paddock of the Prince Albert Raiders was named to the Eastern Conference 2nd All-Star Team.
