Two seperate snowmobile accidents claim the lives of two Manitobans

Two seperate snowmobile collisions over the weekend have claimed the lives of two Manitobans. 

On Saturday (Nov 30) Killarney RCMP responded to an accident northwest of Ninette. 

A 28-year-old man from the RM of Prairie Lakes, was travelling northbound on the side of the road, when officers say, he may have veered off and collided with a tree. The 28-year-old was transported to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

On Sunday (Dec 1), at 7:35 am, the Churchill RCMP received a report of a snowmobile collision in a back lane located near Kelsey Boulevard.

A 20-year-old man, from Churchill, was travelling northbound down the back lane when his snowmobile collided with a south facing flat deck semi-trailer. The 20-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers say the riders in both collisions were not wearing a helmet 

The two collisions remain under investigation.
