UPDATE: 

Brandon Police have arrested 25 year-old James Lepine. 

He is set to appear in court, Wednesday (Nov 13), on a charge of Arson with Disregard for Human Life.

 

ORIGINAL:

Brandon fire crews doused a couple of house fires on Monday (Nov 11). 

Just before 6:00 am, Officers responed to the two fires, located just a block apart from each other.

One was in the 800 block of 12th Street, and the other was located in the 700 block of 13th Street. 

Brandon Police say the fire on 13th Street was intentionally set, and are now looking for 25 year-old, James LEPINE. 

He faces a potential charge of Arson with Disregard for Human Life. 


As for the fire on 12th Street; 

The lone resident was taken to hospital after sustaining an injury caused by smoke inhalation.

The fire is still under investigation.
