A 21-year-old Brandon woman was arrested Saturday (June 27) morning for allegedly driving drunk.

Police pulled her over near 6th street at around 11:00 am, and say two breath samples later came back at twice the legal limit.

And Saturday (June 27) night, staff at a store in the Corral Centre nabbed a woman they say tried to steal clothing.

Police report she allegedly grabbed clothes from a rack, put them on in the bathroom, and tried to leave without paying. She's also accused of assaulting security staff.

Brandon police made a couple of arrests over the weekend seizing weapons and drugs.

Early Saturday (June 27) morning, a 26-year-old man, known to police, was stopped on 6th Street. Officers say he was carrying a pellet pistol and a small amount of meth.

Then Saturday (June 27) night, a traffic stop for open liquor, also turned up a 5,000 volt taser inside the vehicle.
