 The Brandon Wheat Kings and Regina Pats meet for the second time this season tonight. Brandon took the season opener 3-2 in overtime back on March 20th. Brandon is looking for their 5th straight victory while the Pats are looking for their third win in a row.

LAST TIME OUT - 7-1 Win vs Prince Albert

Reid Perepeluk (1G-1A) and Ben McCartney (1G-1A) each recorded a Gordie Howe Hat-Trick on Tuesday afternoon in Brandon’s 7-1 win over the Raiders. 13 of the 18 Wheat Kings skaters registered at least a single point while Ethan Kruger kicked aside 28 shots for his 5th win of the season.

WHO TO WATCH

Connor Bedard - The 15-year-old superstar leads the entire WHL in scoring with 8 goals, 11 assists and 19 points. He has a ten-game point streak going and is second in the league in shots on goal with 49. 

Carson Denomie-  The former captain of the Pat Canadiens leads the Pats with 9 goals. Bedard's right hand man has scored four times on the powerplay and has a +6 rating in the last ten games.

Spread it Around - In Tuesday’s seven goal outburst vs Prince Albert. Thirteen of the eighteen Wheat Kings skaters in the lineup registered at least a single point. Only two forwards on this roster have yet to score a goal this season.

Draw Penalties - Brandon scored four times on the man-advantage on Tuesday afternoon. This brings their powerplay percentage to 31.5% which is the best in the East Division and 4th overall in the WHL. Brandon’s 54 powerplay chances is second in the entire WHL behind Lethbridge (60).
