A Brandon woman is in stable condition recovering from multiple stab wounds to her upper body.
Police say the victim managed to drive herself to hospital where she called them to report the incident. She was allegedly attacked by another resident in an apartment building in the 100 block of 4th Street at around 2:30 am.
While outside of the building, police made contact with the suspect in an upstairs suite, who then reportedly started to throw “ninja style” throwing stars at the officers. Police say he then attempted to flee the scene, and in doing so allegedly threw a knife at officers. A 27-year-old man was arrested after a foot pursuit and was lodged at BPS to appear in court later today (Aug 17).
The Brandon Police Major Crime Section continues to investigate the incident.
