On March 12, 2023, at approximately 9:30 am, Brandon police received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 1100 block of 8th Street. The 2022 Hyundai Elantra was stolen sometime overnight. At approximately 2:00 pm, police received a call that the Hyundai Elantra was parked in the 1000 block of 13th Street. The vehicle was towed to the Brandon Police Service for a forensic examination. The theft of the motor vehicle is still under investigation. On March 12, 2023, police received a report of a domestic assault, which had occurred at a residence in the 700 block of 14th Street. The female victim attended the Brandon Police Service and reported that her husband had choked her. Police attended the residence and arrested the 43-year-old male for Assault by Choking. The male was later released on an Appearance Notice and he is scheduled to appear in court in May.

On March 12, 2023, Brandon police received a report of a theft from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. A male suspect filled two bags full of merchandise and left the store without paying for the items. Police located the 31-year-old male in the area and arrested him for Theft under $5,000. He was later released on an Appearance Notice and he is scheduled to appear in court in May.

On March 12, 2023, police received a complaint of a male causing a disturbance at a residence on Ptarmigan Way. Members attended the residence, but the male who was causing the problems had left prior to police arrival. Police then received a second call that the male had returned and was continuing to cause problems. Police re-attended and arrested the 24-year-old male for Breach of Peace. He was lodged at the Brandon Police Service to prevent any further issues.

On March 12, 2023, Brandon police received a report of intoxicated individuals in the 500 block of 24th Street. Members attended and located a highly intoxicated 36-year-old male who was not able to care for himself. Police were unable to find anyone to look after the male. As a result, he was lodged at the Brandon Police Service until sober to ensure his safety.

Arrest Warrants:
On March 12, 2023, police attended the Brandon Correctional Center (BCC) to arrest a 31-year-old male inmate on an outstanding charge of Assault with a Weapon. He remains in custody at BCC and he is scheduled to appear in court today.
On March 13, 2023, police conducted a person check on a 40-year-old male in the 1100 block of 10th Street. The male was found to be wanted on an outstanding charge of Fail to Appear for Fingerprints. He was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice. He is scheduled to appear in court in March.
