In July 2022, Brandon police received a report of an internal fraud and theft from a business in the 800 block of 18th Street North. Between March and July 2022, an employee reportedly conducted numerous fraudulent returns and thefts totaling over $2,400. On January 30, 2023, police arrested a 20-year-old man for Fraud under $5,000 and Theft under $5,000. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court in March.

On January 30, 2023, police received a report of a theft from a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street. Police say a male suspect entered the business and allegedy stole about $400 worth of merchandise. He then reportedly returned later in the day and attempted to steal approximately $100 worth of merchandise. Police arrested a 39-year-old man for Theft under $5,000. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court in April.

On January 23, 2023, Brandon police received a report of a theft from a business in the 1000 block of Richmond Avenue. They say a female suspect entered the business and reportedly stole approximately $200 worth of merchandise. On January 30, 2023, the 29-year-old suspect turned herself in at the Brandon Police Service. She was arrested for Theft under $5,000, and is scheduled to appear in court in March.

On January 31, 2023, police received a report of a female sleeping in a porch in the 800 block of 9th Street. Upon arrival, police located a 28-year-old woman who was on conditions to reside at a different address with a curfew. As a result, she was arrested for Failing to Comply with a Release Order x2. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and is scheduled to appear in court today.

On January 31, 2023, Brandon police received a report of a theft of a vehicle in the 100 block of Fraser Crescent. The suspect(s) stole a 2005 brown Buick Le Sabre from the complainant’s driveway. On January 30, 2023, police received a report of a male causing a disturbance at a residence in the 600 block of 16th Street. Upon arrival, police located a 36-year-old man who they say was intoxicated by drug and acting irrational. He was arrested for Breach of the Peace and will be released when sober.

Arrest Warrant:
On January 31, 2023, police located and arrested a 53-year-old man who was wanted on an outstanding charge of Fail to Appear for Fingerprints. He was later released and is scheduled to appear in court in March.
