On September 6, 2022 shortly before 5:00 pm, Brandon police conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Middleton Avenue. Investigation led police to deploy PSD Blink who assisted her handler and police in locating illicit drugs within the vehicle. Further investigation into the vehicle led police to locate and seized 4 ounces of cocaine with a street value of $8000, hundreds of unlabeled pills believed to be OxyContin, Canadian currency, a .22 caliber GSG 1911 handgun which was reported stolen in 2019, a .22 caliber magazine with ammunition, and over 90 .22 caliber rounds.

A 26-year-old man from Saskatchewan was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. He appeared in court on September 7, 2022 on charges of: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking X2, Possession of Proceeds of Crime, Careless Storage of a Firearm, Careless Storage of Ammunition, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon Knowing its Possession it Unauthorized, Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Weapon in a Vehicle, Possession of Restricted Firearm with Ammunition – and Possession of a Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime.

On September 4, 2022, police were flagged down in the 600 block of Princess Avenue shortly before 11:00 pm as two individuals had been stabbed. Both victims were transported to hospital and treated for their injuries, which were not life threatening. Police say during an argument, an 18-year-old man allegedly stabbed two adult male victims before fleeing the area. On September 7, 2022, members of Major Crime Section located and arrested the suspect in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue at approximately 4:00 pm. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On September 8, 2022 at approximately 1:30 am, Brandon police observed a female who was running into traffic in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue and placing herself in danger. Polive believe the 37-year-old woman was under the influence of alcohol and illicit drugs. She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On September 8, 2022 at 5:00 am, police responded to multiple reports that an intoxicated male would not leave a residence. A 45-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On September 8, 2022, Brandon police responded to a report of a break and enter to a home in the 100 block of 7th Street. Police say suspects entered the home by forcing the door at approximately 5:00 am, and stole empty cannabis containers, a wallet and keys before fleeing.They also pulled the firearm to the apartment complex. The suspect is described as being male wearing a navy blue/or black sweater with yellow checkers. On September 7, 2022, police responded to a report of a female who was causing a disturbance at a residence shortly before 9:00 am. A 29-year-old woman allegedly threw a rock through a window during the incident. She was arrested and later released to appear in court on November 3, 2022 on a charge of Mischief Under $5000.

Arrest Warrants:
On September 8, 2022, Brandon police attended to a report of a disturbance at a residence at approximately 12:30 am. The disturbance resolved itself, but two of the individuals within the home were found to be wanted on outstanding charges. A 36-year-old woman was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. She will appear in court today on charges of Assault with a Weapon X2. A 52-year-old woman was also arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service. She will appear in court today on charges of Assault with a weapon.
On September 8, 2022 at approximately 1:00 am, police located and arrested a 29-year-old man who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fraud Under $5000. He was later released and will appear in court on November 3, 2022.
On September 7, 2022, police located and arrested a 31-year-old man who was wanted on outstanding charges of Robbery with Violence, Break and Enter with Intent, Assault with a Weapon, and Fail to Comply with Release Order. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
