Mosquito fogging in Brandon cut their numbers by more than half last week.
Average trap counts from last weekend were between 215 and 723 per trap – down significantly from an average of over 1,000 the previous weekend. One trap last weekend had a count over 3,400.
However, the city says be prepared for another crop; there’s still a lot of standing water, and the coming hot weather makes for ideal breeding conditions.
