The Manitoba government will unveil its plans for the year ahead in a speech from the throne to be delivered Nov. 15, Premier Heather Stefanson announced last Friday (Oct 28)
In a media release Sefanson said, “In the past year, we have invested in affordability, addressing crime, furthering reconciliation, made strides in reducing wait times for health care and have seen record levels of growth in this province. We know there is more to do help families make ends meet, strengthen services and make communities safer. As we move forward with this work, we will also invest in education, child care and initiatives to build stronger communities. By working together, we can build a better Manitoba for everyone.”
The fourth session of the 42nd legislature will prorogue on Nov. 14. The fifth session of the 42nd legislature will convene on Nov. 15 at 1:30 p.m. with the reading of the speech from the throne by Lt.-Gov. Anita R. Neville.
