Manitoba is entering Phase 2 of the Restoring Safe Services plan – a number of businesses and services can begin operating again including bars and gyms, dining in at restaurants and you can get a manicure, pedicure and a tattoo.
There’s still a worry that a spike in cases will lead to tighter restrictions, but health officials say that’s why we must continue physical distancing and enhanced cleaning procedures.
Premier Brian Pallister says the province has increased testing, so don’t be alarmed if new cases pop up. He also says as we begin interacting more this summer, there may also be rise in positive tests.
The City of Brandon will also provide some modified summer programming as the province begins re-opening services.
Youth day camps and sports fields will open – and also outdoor pools and spray parks, but garden tours, music in the parks and outdoor concert series are still cancelled.
