13 new COVID-19 cases are being reported increasing Manitoba’s total to 1,244.
Of the new cases; eight are in the Prairie Mountain Health region, four in Winnipeg, and one in the Southern Health region.
Health officials say 454 cases are active, 163 of which are in Brandon, 776 people have recovered.
The province is advising of two potential public exposure to COVID-19 may have occurred. The first on August 21 to 23 at the Canoe Taphouse at130 Wasagaming Dr. in Wasagaming. The second on August 21 and 22 at the Buffalo Bar and Ten Restaurant at the Elkhorn Resort Spa and Conference Centre in Onanole. Meanwhile, case investigations indicate two previously identified cases in health-care workers in the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority are linked to recent outbreaks. One is at the Fred Douglas Lodge and the other at Beacon Hill Lodge Long Term Care Home. This information has been shared with families and staff. Close contacts are being identified and the case investigations are continuing.
