Manitoba health officials are reporting two new cases of COVID-19 increasing the province’s total to 300, in the Prairie Mountain Health region the total is still 26.
Health officials say nine active cases remain, with no patients in the hospital or in intensive care. The number of deaths due the virus remains at seven, while 284 people have recovered from the virus.
Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Brent Roussin says one of the new cases is connected to a truck driver that travelled outside of Manitoba, and the other is a close household contact.
Meanwhile, changes to the hours of operation at five community testing sites in the province, including Brandon, come into effect this weekend. This sites new hours will be Monday to Saturday 8:45am to 3:15pm and closed on Sundays.
