Are These Country Artists Selfish?

Pandemics and Concerts, They Do Not Mix

Countryfest was supposed to happen this upcoming weekend. It was going to be a great weekend of music, friends and fun. People agree though, safety is the priority. This past weekend Chase Rice played a packed concert in Tennessee and other artists are not happy with him. The crowds were large and packed with no sign of social distancing or even masks. I miss concerts and sporting events as much as the next person but am I going to run out right now and attend a concert? No. Kelsea Ballerini went as far as calling Chase Rice out on twitter saying "Imagine being selfish enough to put thousands of people’s health at risk, not to mention the potential ripple effect, and play a NORMAL country concert right now. @ChaseRiceMusic, We all want (and need) to tour. We just care about our fans and their families enough to wait."

As it turns out, Chase Rice was not the only artist that played a "normal" concert this past weekend. Chris Janson played a live show although it was difficult to tell from the footage whether any of the members of the similarly jam-packed audience at the Hwy 30 Fest in Filer, Idaho were wearing masks.
