All of Manitoba has been code red for days now....or have we? I was completely expecting when we went back into code red that it would look much like it did months ago when we shut down to flatten the curve. It was like a ghost town as people took all necessary precautions to protect themselves and others from something bigger than all of us. What I've actually witnessed are packed parking lots, people shopping up a storm, and a LOT of complaining because we can't go out and enjoy a meal in our favorite restaurants. Really? When are we going to start taking this seriously and do what we need to so we can get back to some sort of normal? Don't get me wrong, I know there are many that are taking every precaution and doing their part, unfortunately their efforts are weakened by those that just don't get it. No, Christmas will NOT be normal this year. No, you should NOT be planning large gatherings. Yes, you should be doing EVERYTHING in your power to ensure that we will be able to return to normal life in the foreseeable future, a life where we can gather with and hug our loved ones. Stay Safe and Stay Healthy.
