I've heard from a few different sources that Canadians all across the country do not get enough Vitamin D...but when half of the year is absolutely FREEZING, can you blame us? Going outside to soak up some Vitamin D from the sun just isn't the same when you're bundled up in a snowsuit, I think.
A few years ago, my parents purchased a sun lamp for me as a gift, and I have to say, it's been one of the best tools in my arsenal for fighting the winter blues. Like the name would suggest, it simulates sunlight in an indoor enviroment, eliminating the need to go outside when it's absolutely freezing. I definitely notice a difference in my mood and energy when I use it, and I absolutely love it.
Have you ever tried one? Let me know what you think!
