Gabby Barrett’s rise to superstardom is showing no signs of slowing down as the American Idol alum has become the first-ever female country artist to top 10 million single week streams with a whopping 11.3 million streams this past week.
Additionally, the music video for “I Hope,” which has raked in 48 million views on YouTube alone, reached the No.1 spot on the CMT Hot 20 Countdown over the weekend. Barrett is the first solo female to bring a debut single to the top of the charts since 2017, when Carly Pearce’s “Every Little Thing” went No.1. To celebrate Gabby Barrett’s recent success, country superstar Trisha Yearwood surprised her during an appearance on the CMT Hot 20 Countdown. When host Cody Alan reveals that Yearwood is there to surprise her, Barrett loses all cool. “Are you kidding me?!”
After congratulating Barrett on her first No.1, Yearwood took a moment to offer Barrett some career advice.

Barrett is gearing up for the release of her highly anticipated debut album, Goldmine. Out June 19, the project features “I Hope” as well as her new radio single, “The Good Ones.”
