I do my best to keep a clean house. I regularly clean the bathroom, kitchen, floors, surfaces etc. but I have to admit there are some areas I probably don’t clean as often as I should. I can’t remember the last time I cleaned behind the fridge. I clean the oven when something gets spilled in it. I was just reading a survey that said 47% of those polled can’t remember the last time they cleaned their oven and 41% can’t remember cleaning their fridge – sounds about right. The one that got me was 25% said they can’t remember the last time cleaned their bed linens. I actually enjoy doing laundry so linens, curtains, bedding and such get washed often. I’m not sure I could comfortably climb into a bed not knowing how long it had been since the sheets were cleaned. For me it’s the whole “outta sight outta mind” mentality. I can’t see under the fridge or stove so I convince myself it doesn’t need cleaning. Now after reading this poll I have to wonder what’s growing under there.
Maybe We’re Not As Clean As We Thought
