Q Country 91.5 FM, which is locally owned and operated by Westman Communications Group, has partnered with the Brandon Wheat Kings and will launch their very first podcast called the Weekly Harvest.
“Q Country 91.5 FM is already the broadcast home for all regular season and playoff games, but we also see value in giving Wheat King fans access to even more hockey talk and informational content in another format,” said Courtney Baxter, Manager of Marketing at Westman Communications Group. “As podcast listenership increases, we saw adding a podcast as another source for that information as a good fit.”
Branden Crowe and Chris Falko will be the hosts of the new podcast, and the first episode will launch on Tuesday, December 10, at noon.
“The Weekly Harvest is a perfect platform to talk about the Wheat Kings and the WHL,” said Play-by-Play Broadcaster of the Brandon Wheat Kings, Branden Crowe. “The days of the ten-minute sit-down interview on the radio are over, and this offers a new opportunity to talk to some great guests while getting some insight outside of our traditional broadcast.”
Every Tuesday join Crowe and Falko as they bring you insider updates and real talk from the previous week’s games and the season as a whole. Plus, enjoy fresh and exciting interviews with current players, coaches, and other WHL alumni. Whether you missed the previous week’s game or caught all the action, you’re going to want to listen in weekly to get all the insider scoop, game thoughts and interviews you’ve been long craving!
Catch a new weekly episode every Tuesday at noon by visiting the Q Country website at https://qcountryfm.ca/on-air/shows/weekly-harvest or wherever you enjoy your podcasts! It is also available on Apple and Android.
If you are interested in a dish of visual with your audio, make sure to catch weekly episodes on WCGtv channel 1012 Tuesday at 10:30 am or Tuesday at 6:30 pm.
“I know this community loves hockey and loves their Wheat Kings, if we can help bring them more content, create a buzz and help keep the discussion going around town, we’ve done our job,” concluded Crowe.
