The Manitoba Junior Hockey League’s board of governors approved a new playoff format at the league’s annual general meeting this past weekend.
As we first told you last week, the MJHL will be one division next season with the top ten teams making the playoffs.
The seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth place teams will play best-of-three survivor series to join the top six in the quarter-finals.
The league will also have a balanced schedule next season, with each team playing six games against each opponent for a 60-game schedule.
The season is expected to begin on September 19th.
