Three Westman athletes were named winners of Credit Unions of Manitoba high school scholar athlete awards Monday.
Seth Friesen of Brandon’s Vincent Massey high school, Caitlin Wilkinson of Ste. Rose and Tara Frisch of Nellie McClung Collegiate in Manitou receive $1,000 each.
The awards are given to student-athletes who maintain at least an 85 per cent average, compete in at least two sports and are involved in their community.
