At the world junior hockey championships in Norway today.
In exhibition play, Canada beat Sweden 7 to 6.
Canada led 5-1 heading into the third, before Sweden lit up Canada goaltender Mason McDonald with five goals over the final 20 minutes.
John Quenneville of the Brandon Wheat Kings is playing for Canada while Wheat Kings Head coach Kelly McCrimmon is an assistant coach with the Canadian squad.
Also on the team, Elkhorn’s Travis Sanheim who plays for the Calgary Hitmen.
The tournament begins Saturday with Canada facing the United States in the preliminary round.
