A late collapse by the Westman Wildcats has eliminated the team and finished their season.
The team lost 7-6 to the Prince Albert Bears, after leading the game 6-3 with 13:25 left in the game.
The Bears win the best of three series 2-0 and will advance to the Esso Cup as the Western Representative.
Ashton Bell was the player of the game for the Wildcats.
Game 1 was won by Prince Albert by a score of 6-4.
The tournament will be played in Morden as the Pembina Valley Hawks are the host team.
The Wildcats had a shot at the Esso Cup because of the automatic berth to the tournament for Pembina Valley in turn for being the host team.
Westman finished with a 23-2-2-1 record this year and first in the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League. They swept the first round versus Interlake, beat Yellowhead in four games before losing in three straight to Pembina Valley.
The Wildcats lost their last five games of the season.
