Brandon, MB (CKLQ) – The Westman High School Rugby season ended on Saturday afternoon with two final games.
The Crocus Plains Plainsmen defeated the Souris Sabres 10-8 in a defensive battle in the boys final.
Brian Kwak and Colin Ravensdale both had a try for the Plainsmen, while Cole Thomas responded for the Sabres as well as Fedrico Vargas getting a penalty kick.
The low-scoring games was just 3-0 at half for Souris.
The girls final was much more high-scoring as the Minnedosa Chancellors won 36-24 over the Dauphin Clippers to win the title.
Ashley Robinson scored a try and converted on three times to lead the Chancellors in scoring.
Kaila Stratuliuk responded for the Clippersd with two tries and two converts.
Both winning teams will now travel to Winnipeg next weekend for the Provincials from June 2nd to 3rd.
