Portage, MB (CKLQ) – The Waywaysecappo Wolverines have their backs up to the wall.
The team lost 8-5 to the Portage Terriers on Wednesday night to fall behind 3-0 in the best of seven quarter-final series.
Portage was up 5-2 after the second period thanks to two goals by Scott Mickoski.
But to start the third period, the Wolverines ended up pulling up within a goal, but a Terriers goal pushed Portage to a 6-5 lead with seven minutes left to go.
Portage added two more to end the game.
Game 4 will be on Friday, in Waywayseecappo First Nation at 7:30 p.m.
Meanwhile the Dauphin kings also fell behind 3-0 after a 5-3 loss to Swan Valley in Swan River.
